Three Hours of Core Academics
Every student dives into at least three hours of core academic activities each day. Whether enrolled in an online school or following a homeschool curriculum, they engage deeply with their subjects using a mix of digital platforms and traditional textbooks. KaiPod offers a robust baseline curriculum for families who prefer a structured approach. During this focused academic time, our Learning Coaches are always on hand, offering personalized support. They work closely with each student, helping them organize their tasks, delve deeper into topics, and master new skills. Detailed feedback is sent home regularly, keeping families informed of their child’s progress and how they’re being supported.
Two and a Half Hours of Socialization and Fun
Lunchtime is just the beginning of our social and fun segment! Students enjoy a generous block of time to play, create, and relax with their peers. Our KaiPods are equipped with board games, art supplies, puzzles, and sports equipment, along with cozy spots like couches and bean bag chairs for downtime. Outdoor activities are a big hit too, as Learning Coaches often lead trips to nearby parks or playgrounds. This tech-free time is rich with opportunities for students to engage in guided games, bond over shared interests, and be a part of a vibrant community.
One Hour of Enrichment
Our daily enrichment hour is designed to spark curiosity and joy. Led by our enthusiastic Learning Coaches, these sessions include a range of activities from science experiments and creative arts to engaging writing projects. Whether it’s learning the basics of basketball or conducting a fascinating science experiment, each activity is aimed at enhancing knowledge while being incredibly fun.
Half an Hour of Independent Pleasure Reading
Students spend thirty minutes immersed in books of their choosing. We encourage them to bring favorites from home, though our on-site library offers a curated selection as well. Learning Coaches make reading even more engaging by discussing plots, characters, and predictions, sometimes even setting the scene by reading alongside the students. This time not only enhances reading skills but also fosters a lifelong love for literature.
